Atami Wilma System 4 Pot
The Wilma System comprises of pots that sit on a tray above a nutrient tank. Plants are placed into the pots with your chosen growing medium - clay pebbles, coco, soil or rockwool, and a dripper is placed into the medium next to each plant. The frequency of each irrigation is adjusted using a simple timer which activates the drippers to automatically feed the plants. The nutrient flows through the growing medium back into the reservoir which in turn draws oxygen into the root zone. The system can be used as an irrigation system that catches run off or as a fully recirculating hydroponics system.
" Frequent feeding means greater uptake of water and nutrient
" Roots do not rely on the capillary action of the growing medium
" Free draining root zone means no nutrient build up or water logging

Bigger Yields-Plants take up more water and nutrients than hand watering in pots, as they are feed little and often.
More choice-Grow in soil, coco, clay pebbles or rockwool.
Less hassle-The Wilma is low maintenance. Only one nutrient reservoir for up to 4 plants. Far easier than hand watering.
Flexibility-Pots are independent of each other and can be moved around or replaced. A timer can be used to increase the number of feeds as plants develop.

Tips from the experts.
Golden Rule: Use the correct drippers for the growing medium. When growing in clay pebbles, use flood drippers. For more absorbent media - soil, coco, rockwool - use the arrow drippers.

If using clay pebbles, treat the Wilma as a recirculating hydroponics system and top up the tank every few days with half strength nutrient solution.

If using an absorbent medium - like soil, coco or rockwool, treat the Wilma like a dripper system with a catchment tank. The aim is to minimise runoff and top up the tank with full strength nutrient solution.

Use a cleaning product like House and Garden's Drip Clean to prevent dripper blockages.

Set feeds on a segmental timer: when plants are young start with 2x to 3x 15minute feeds a day when using clay pebbles or 1x to 2x 15minute feeds a day when using an absorbent medium. Increase the number of feed periods as plants increase in size.
