MISTING (SPRAYING/FOGGING)
Spraying the plant with water/nutrient solution at this early stage can be more efficient than watering through the rooting medium, as it has few roots to draw up the solution. Misting also helps to maintain the humidity in the propagator.

As plants are effectively waterproof a wetting agent needs to be added to the water/nutrient solution to help the plant absorb it.

Various devices can be purchased to mist a plant, from inexpensive spray guns to more sophisticated pressure pumps.
