SECTION 1 - SEEDS

PROGRESSION AND HARDENING-OFF

	The root tip (radicle) will start making its way downwards while the head seeks the surface.
	The stem (hypocotyl) will appear, along with the seed leaves. The shell may still be attached to the seed leaves.
	The seed leaves (cotyledons) will then open up and the shells will be discarded. By this stage the roots should be starting to grow.
	The first true leaves (epicotyl) will then appear, and the roots should now be growing well. Once the roots start emerging from the rooting medium, the seedling is ready for planting or transferring into a larger Rockwool block.
