The Eco-Lite incorporates a remote ignition system making it more efficient than a standard ballast and allowing the lamp to be remote started from as far away as 200m from the ballast if required. This makes Eco-Lite's perfect for installations of any size as the ballasts can be positioned all in one area and the reflectors positioned in another. The Rising Sun Super Midi is a superior quality closed ended reflector for 250w – 400w lights. It gives a very even and intense spread of light and is the best reflector we have seen for focusing light over 0.75 square meter area. It is made from polished anodized dimpled aluminium with mirrored ends pieces and will not lose its shine over time. The vented heat sink running along the top of the reflector draws heat away from the lamp and reduces hot spots.

The Eco-Lite is built with safety in mind. It uses a heavy duty jack plug that locks the reflector lead firmly into the ballast meaning it cannot accidently be pulled out or work loose over time. The Eco-Lite also incorporates a safety feature that will detect if a lamp has failed after a mains failure. The re-strike time is between 30 seconds and 20 minutes. If the lamp is not lit within 20 minutes, the system will shut down as the lamp is obviously faulty.
